By Alex HudsonBack in the summer, rumours began circulating that veteran rockers R.E.M. were back in the studio working on the follow-up to this year's Collapse into Now. So what have the band been up to since then? If you were hoping for some new music, we've got some bad news for you.
We don't have any new tunes from the band, but what we do have is a collage of photos that show frontman Michael Stipe stripping down and proudly displaying his penis. He's hairy and looks every bit of his 51 years, but if you're into it, check out the NSFW photos on his personal Tumblr.
You can see some screengrabs at Fleshbot, but be warned, the advertisements on this website are even more NSFW than Stipe's revealing photos, so proceed with caution.
Stipe's blog is called Confessions_of_a_Michael_Stipe, and most of it is devoted to photos of decidedly more suitable-for-work material.
Seeing as the band don't appear to have any imminent tours or new music to look forward to, let's see who can make the best R.E.M.-related penis pun. We'll start: "(Don't Go Back to) Cockville," "Supernatural Superpenis," "The Showers of Guatemala."
