Cold War Kids Unveil 'Dear Miss Lonely Hearts,' Announce North American Tour
By Gregory AdamsCalifornia indie rock ensemble Cold War Kids went through some changes last year when guitarist Jonnie Russell was replaced by former Modest Mouse/Murder City Devils six-stringer Dann Gallucci. The outfit will now showcase their updated lineup on their impending fourth full-length outing, Dear Miss Lonely Hearts.

The album, which follows 2011's Mine Is Yours, arrives April 2 through Downtown. A tracklisting has yet to appear, but the song cycle was tracked by producer Lars Stalfors (the Mars Volta, Matt & Kim). You can stream new tune "Miracle Mile" down below.

Judging by comments made by singer Nathan Willett, the new LP's direction was apparently informed by the band's internal shuffling, and has them exploring newer sonic territory.

"We were shaken up, ready to let certain songs go further than before by trying new styles and arrangements, while keeping others sparse and caring more about the finished product and less about how we got there," he said in a statement.

Cold War Kids have a number of dates scheduled around North America and Europe between January and May. You can see the the itinerary, which announces a Canadian pit stop in Vancouver on May 17, down below.
