Check Out Reviews of Pelican, Job for a Cowboy, Alex Winston and More in Our New Release Roundup
By Sian DaviesThis Tuesday, it's a decidedly metal affair, as we bring you our take on the week's best (and worst) new music releases. To read full reviews of the following highlights, head over to's Recently Reviewed section.

First up, in the wake of their ten-year anniversary, post-metal unit Pelican return with their eagerly awaited follow-up to 2009's What We All Come to Need, Ataraxia/Taraxis, while Norwegian thrashers Deathhammer deliver a healthy dose of old school on new long-player, Onward to the Pits.

We also have the latest cinematic offering from grindcore quartet Graf Orlock, Los Angeles, and following their Exclaim!-approved death metal gem Ruination, Job for a Cowboy unveil their new full-length, Demonocracy.

Lastly, Brooklyn's Alex Winston delivers a mixed bag of indie pop hits and momentum-killing misses with her debut album King Con, and modern ambient artists like Loscil, Christopher Willits, Marsen Jules and Deaf Center pay homage to the seminal work of Harold Budd on the new tribute compilation, Lost in the Humming Air - Music Inspired by Harold Budd.
