By Gregory AdamsLast month, we learned Calgary's latest multi-day music event MTT Fest†would feature an impressive mix of out-of-town and local outfits gracing its inaugural weekend, which takes place on March 24 and 25. But even more acts have been added to the bill.
While we previously reported that Spacemen 3's Sonic Boom and Can vocalist Damo Suzuki would be some of the bigger draws at the first night of MTT Fest, which takes place at the Royal Canadian Legion No. 1, it's now been revealed that Wareham's Dean & Britta project will headline the evening by performing a set of Galaxie 500 songs.
The event's second night will be spread around the city, with concerts taking place at Shelf Life Books, Local 510, Broken City and Republik. On deck to appear are psych-rockers Sun Araw, a solo set from Makeout Videotape's Mac DeMarco, Vancouver acid folk outfit Ben Rogers & the Black Oats and more. Some of the homegrown Alberta talent includes the Ketamines, Faux Fur and Extra Happy Ghost!!!
You can grab more details on the event here and grab tickets and passes here. Single-day tickets run $40, a weekend pass goes for $65 and a VIP pass is being sold for $100.
