Belle and Sebastian Get Richard X, Cold Cave for Remix Single, Premiere New Video
By Gregory AdamsLong-running Glaswegian twee poppers Belle and Sebastian have been on a flurry of activity this last week. First, the troupe unveiled the new vid for "Come on Sister," which revealed that when not on the road, the band take up odd jobs as ice cream salesmen and denture manufacturers. The troupe have now announced a new twelve-inch single for the song.

According to a press release, on top of featuring an alternate mix of the track -- the original appeared on last year's Write About Love -- the record also features a couple remixes. "I Didn't See It Coming" gets two reworkings, with one coming from icy synth-goths Cold Cave and the other as interpreted by Richard X. You can hear his blissed-out, '80s new wave take on the tune below via a new animated video, directed by Glasgow artist Lesley Barnes.

Matador will issue the vinyl-only release on July 26.

Come on Sister:

1. "Come on Sister" (Tony Doogan mix)

2. "I Didn't See It Coming" (Richard X mix)

3. "I Didn't See It Coming" (Cold Cave mix)

4. "Blue Eyes of a Millionaire" (Album version)

Re: Come On Sister - None of them works as a fireman in the video. Also, Richard isn't on the dole, he's involved in a scam by mail.
I love the Richard X remix. One of the best remixes of the year for me.
