Baroness Issue Bus Crash Update; Three Band Members Still Hospitalized

By Brock ThiessenFollowing a bus crash yesterday (August 16) in Bath, England, Baroness have issued a statement to update fans on their progress, and unfortunately, all is not good. While all nine passengers on the bus were initially hospitalized as a result of the crash, which found the band's tour bus falling 30 feet off a viaduct, five still remain in hospital. This includes Baroness's John Baizley, Allen Blickle and Matt Maggioni. Band member Pete Adams, however, has been released from care.

The band's full statement is as follows:

The band members of Baroness and their crew are recovering from injuries sustained after their tour bus crashed outside of Bath, England early on Wednesday morning.

John Baizley has broken his left arm and left leg. Allen Blickle and Matt Maggioni each suffered fractured vertebrae. All three remain in the hospital as of this writing. Pete Adams has been treated and released from the hospital.

Three of the five crew members who were on the bus have also been treated and released. One member is still undergoing testing. The driver of the bus remains in critical condition.
