Andrew W.K. to Send "1,000,000 Volts of Party Music" Through David Blaine's Body
By Josiah HughesSince Andrew W.K. essentially lives his life as one endless party, the New York-based musician needs to come up with new ideas to keep things fresh. His latest experiment? He's going to send a million volts of music through the body of illusionist David Blaine.

It sounds like a practical joke, we know, but the truth is that W.K. will perform a keyboard connected to a tesla coil that will entrap Blaine.

Here's the full statement, taken from a press release:

As part of David Blaine's Ultrabook Experience event, "Electrified," Andrew W.K. will perform a unique keyboard solo using a tesla coil powered instrument in which David Blaine will be imprisoned as 1,000,000 volts of party music surge through his body. Presented by Intel, "Electrified" will find the master magician this weekend standing on a 20-foot-high platform at Hudson River Park Pier 54 in New York, surrounded by seven towering metallic orbs — or tesla coils — that will stream 1 million volts of electricity around him for 3 days and 3 nights. The sounds W.K. creates with this groundbreaking new musical instrument will send electric currents through Blaine's entire body!

In the same release, W.K. exclaimed, "This is absolutely a once in a lifetime musical experience and probably the most dangerous musical instrument ever created! I'm absolutely electrified and terrified by the opportunity to play a keyboard solo with so much energy, and to use this incredibly powerful device to send a musical surge through David's brain!"

The event takes place on October 7 at 7:30 p.m. If you don't feel like travelling to New York just to watch Andrew W.K. potentially kill a man, the whole event will be livestreamed here.
