John K. Samson Performs "When I Write My Masters Thesis"
By Sarah MurphyWeakerthans frontman John K. Samson definitely impressed with his latest solo effort Provincial, released last month. One of Canada's finest lyricists and all around literate guy, we were delighted to welcome Samson into the Exclaim! office for an acoustic solo session.

If you haven't already, check out his performance of "Letter in Icelandic from the Ninette San" over here, then watch Samson perform "When I Write My Master's Thesis" above. With an obvious penchant for storytelling, "Master's Thesis" doesn't break the tradition, as Samson commiserates with students spending hours in the library, grading first-year papers and citing endless academic sources.

As always, keep an eye on Exclaim! TV for upcoming sessions. Provincial is out now on Epitaph.
