Anti-Flag - "1915" on Exclaim! TV
By Michael ThomasPittsburgh-based four-piece Anti-Flag have been known for decades as a punk rock band with a conscience, having endorsed organizations like Greenpeace, Amnesty International and the Occupy movement. They've also been celebrating their 20th anniversary this year by playing a string of dates across North America, and are currently on tour in the United States with fellow punk rockers Less Than Jake.

We recently caught up with co-frontman Chris No. 2 at Toronto's Ride Away Bikes, where he performed an acoustic rendition of "1915" from Anti-Flag's Occupy-inspired 2012 LP, The General Strike. No. 2 starts by singing lines from Leo Marks' poem "The Life That I Have," before increasing the tempo and breaking into a truncated version of "1915," which is based on the life and work of political activist Joe Hill.
