"Diamonds" (Rihanna cover)
By Josiah HughesSinger and producer Zola Jesus (aka Nika Roza Danilova) has moved far away from her goth image since last year's Conatus album. Now, her place in the experimental pop world is solidified with a cover of Rihanna's new hit "Diamonds."
The somewhat minimal track applies murky synths and skittering drums to the pop hit, all setting a backdrop for Danilova to deliver her multiple vocal tracks.
