By Alex HudsonNext month, English art rock crew Wild Beats will Smother us with their new album, which comes out on May 10 via Domino. The press release that accompanied the album announcement promised that it is based upon "intense atmosphere, space and beguiling rhythm."
You can hear that intense atmosphere on the strange, haunting single "Albatross." The expansive, falsetto-laden track is accompanied by lingering slow-motion shots of women getting up to all sorts of strange pursuits, including (but not limited to): interpretive dancing, holding oversized insects and putting on blindfolds.
