"Buried Alive"
By Gregory AdamsUK indie-poppers Veronica Falls have their sophomore set, Waiting for Something to Happen, coming our way on February 12 via Slumberland, and they are promoting the album with an early stream of the deceptively-downbeat album track "Buried Alive."
While the song features some peppy boy-girl harmonies, a driving backbeat and some wonderfully chiming six-strings, the lyrics present a pretty pitiful scenario ("Bury me alive/I don't care if people cry"). As previously reported, Veronica Falls hit up Canada on their North American tour — with gigs lined up in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver — this March.
