From electronic-based work like that under his Polmo Polpo and Glissandro 70 monikers, to the more folk-tinged material released under his own name, Perri has spent the last decade crafting music that can't really be pigeonholed into any specific genre. He returns this month with his latest album as Sandro Perri, Impossible Places, but Exclaim.ca has it available to stream now.
The new record has been described as "a work of adventurous, progressive, playful and thoughtful songcraft." Drawing from an array of sounds ranging from folk to electronic to jazz to psychedelic rock, there's nothing typical about Impossible Places. The seven-track album features dreamy, experimental track "Love and Light," as well as a two-part song entitled "Futureactive Kid," whereupon he takes on a more electronic persona.
