Save the Super Bowl on '30 Rock'

By Alex HudsonHere's a best-case scenario for the Super Bowl (February 5) halftime show: Madonna doesn't perform and NBC recruits Ryan Adams, Childish Gambino and Michael McDonald to fill in. That's the concept of a new 30 Rock webisode called "For a Song" (from The Donaghy Files) featuring the three music stars (plus actor Alec Baldwin).

In the animated short, Baldwin's character Jack Donaghy explains that Madonna has been injured and that NBC must fill her place with a budget of nothing. This results in the three musicians performing some old NBC TV show theme songs: Michael McDonald plays the song from Saved By the Bell, Ryan Adams plucks his way through the Passions theme, and Childish Gambino (aka actor Donald Glover) raps over the Night Rider beat.

Cee-Lo Green also pops up in the clip. Watch it below.
