By Alex HudsonNot only is Chad VanGaalen one of Canada's most renowned songwriters, but he's also an artist and animator, and now he's helped out his fellow countrymen Mother Mother by creating a nightmarish music video for the title track from their latest album, The Sticks, out now on Last Gang.
The clip taps into the apocalyptic atmosphere of the new album by showing some weird-looking monsters prowling a deserted wasteland littered with human skeletons, crashed airplanes and broken down cars. The monsters find an abandoned gym and become buff while the room is swarmed with cockroaches. Yikes! We didn't know this dark rock song could get any more unsettling, but VanGaalen definitely pulled it off.
