By Brock ThiessenIf you're a fan of burly Canadian riff rock, chances are you've crossed paths with Monster Truck. If not, that may soon change. Come October 18, the Ontario rock outfit will drop The Brown EP via Dine Alone Records. The EP already came out as a free online offering, but now it will be getting a proper release, complete with new bonus track "Sworded Beest," which you can now stream here at Exclaim.ca.
The thumping scorcher, which features a guest spot from Alexisonfire's George Pettit, can be heard below.
If you like what you hear, Monster Truck have several Canadian dates lined up, and you can see that schedule here, where you can also still download the original Brown EP.
What are you Justin Bieber fans? This is far beyond any cock-rock. Anyone who can't get into this band needs to harden the fuck up, see them live and recognize the un-stoppable force that is Monster Truck. Taste my steel and feel my blade you fucking fucks.
Wow! So happy I discovered them at a Steele Panther show in Toronto, and got to play with them at Call The Office last month! Definately one my favorite rock bands (along with the Arkells!)
this is righteous. there's a lot of banter surrounding whether or not george pettit sucks or not. who cares. one thing i can say is that i have noticed alexisonfire inspires young men to put on tight pants, and monster truck inspires me to take really tight pants off my wife. im not sure what that means but i think it's significant.
