Marnie Stern - "East Side Glory"
By Alex HudsonThe arrival of Marnie Stern's awesomely titled The Chronicles of Marnia is still more than two months away, but the indie shredder has given us a new preview of the album in the form of "East Side Glory."

This track is a little calmer than some of her frantic past work, since it favours wistful waltz-time strumming over fretboard fireworks. Things do get pretty wonky towards the end, however, as the groove is interrupted with some curious plinks and plonks from Stern's guitar.

The Chronicles of Marnia drops on March 19 through Kill Rock Stars

I'm not a huge fan of some of her work, but this some is really beautiful.
