Lifestory: Monologue

'Drag Your White Fur - Make It Grey' (album stream)

By Sarah MurphyGuelph, ON punks Lifestory: Monologue are finally set to release their first full-length album, Drag Your White Fur - Make It Grey, on November 8, but Exclaim.ca has an exclusive stream for you to listen to before the record hits shelves.

The LP was produced and engineered by Moneen's Kenny Bridges, and his influence is definitely detectable in the Lifestory: Monologue's stylings. The band's talk-scream vocal approach is accompanied by Bridges-esque singing and screeching guitars, but Lifestory: Monologue know when to rein it in for softer, slower moments too.

The new album builds on The Thornberry EP, released earlier this year, and shows the six-piece's widening range of musical ability.

The group have been releasing a new promotional short videos every day, and will continue to do so until the album's release on November 8. You can watch the clips, featuring members of fellow bands like Teenage Kicks and Moneen, at Lifestory: Monologue's YouTube page.

Drag Your White Fur - Make It Grey is out November 8 and can be pre-ordered here. Listen to a stream of the album below.

LS:M, easily one of the best bands in the country. Amazing writers, amazing musicians, amazing dudes.
Easily one of the best albums of the year - I smell a Polaris nomination.
Amazing, this band blasts my mind. A new side of Lifestory. It's also the perfect answer to Hold Me In The Wind My Friend. I always find myself with my hand over my heart when I listen to their music, almost instinctually. The body language's reply to their sounds and I think that speaks loudly as to what they have to offer audiences with this album and what they have always consistently given to their fans.
This Nameless Poseur dude really
really impressed with this CD .. Very good. .
Just ordered the Ginger package here http://lifestorymonologue...

Can't wait for the phone call.
love love love.

needs more Cello and Opera vocals for a Polaris nod tho.
I miss all their old styles/topics of writing.
Hopefully this will sink into my soul as well if the meat of it is just delayed in wrapping around my mind.
