The Great Sabatini - 'Matterhorn' (album stream)
By Sarah MurphyMontreal avant metallers the Great Sabatini have created a sound that blends influences ranging from grindcore to '70s rock, and are gearing up to release their fourth album, Matterhorn.

The new record will be released digitally and on vinyl March 25 via No List Records, but you can take a listen to the new material right now. The six-song album was recorded in the band's hometown at the Black Room and is the follow-up to 2011's Napoleon Sodomite.

The band have described Matterhorn as their "most focused effort" and added, "Every second of the music on there was toiled over for at least two years."

Maintaining the sludgy aggression that their catalogue is built on, the new record should keep fans happy. Listen to the results of the Great Sabatini's hard work below and head over here to check out their upcoming Canadian tour dates.
