Elfin Saddle

"The Wind Come Carry" (video)

By Gregory AdamsElfin Saddle's upcoming third LP Devastates apparently deals with "the tensions between nature and technology on multiple levels," and those themes are seemingly present in the Montreal-based experimental folk outfit's self-directed clip for new tune "The Wind Come Carry Me."

The video finds its protagonist gracefully moving back and forth between pastoral greenery and charcoal-coloured industrial landscapes. Along the way she collects some bones, pieces of wood and jewelry. There are tons of cut shots whisking across flower-covered fields, but there's still something stunningly gorgeous about watching a swell of birds swooping towards a pile of garbage mid-clip.

Check out the vid for the rustic military march, which also juxtaposes Jordan McKenzie's back-porch croak with Emi Honda's lilting vocals, down below.

As previously reported, Devastates drops on March 6 through Constellation.
