By Alex HudsonDevendra Banhart previously indicated that his upcoming album, Mala, would bear some hip-hop production traces, and you can hear that in action on the new single "Never Seen Such Good Things."
The track isn't too much of a departure from Banhart's usual songwriting style, as it pairs acoustic strums with silky electric leads and quivering vocal quirks. On the other hand, the production style points to a new direction with its bouncy drum machines.
