By Sarah MurphyCanadian electronic darling Caribou (aka Dan Snaith) is gearing up to curate the Sunday portion of All Tomorrow's Parties annual Nightmare Before Christmas festival, and in honour of the UK music fest, he's put together a new mix.
The mix runs an hour in length and features artists that Snaith personally chose to be on the bill for the fest, which runs from December 9 to 11. Acts like Toro Y Moi, Four Tet and Theo Parrish are included, plus a previously unreleased Caribou remix of Junior Boys' "Improve Me." There's also a reworking of Omar Souleyman's "Dabke" by Snaith's other musical alter ego Daphni.
The other artists curating this year's Nightmare Before Christmas are Les Savy Fav (on Friday) and Battles (Saturday).
