By Josiah HughesElectronic glitch pioneer Markus Popp had been absent from his Oval moniker since 2001, but this year has seen him return to the project with a new EP called Oh, as well as the O double album, due in stores next week. As if that weren't enough material, Popp has now released a free web-only EP called Ringtone II.
The eight-song EP continues to showcase Popp's newfound affection for organic sounds and airy production. While it's definitely a departure from his previous work, the attention to detail and hunger for innovation is still there.
