Pop explorer Zola Jesus recently dropped her Taiga LP, and now one of the songs has experienced an unlikely boost thanks to mega-producer Diplo.
The pairing sounds somewhat unlikely, but the results are excellent. Leaving Zola's original vocals in tact, Diplo adds clapping drums, EDM dynamics and hard-hitting beats to the track. The end result allows us to look at the singer's song from a new perspective.
