We heard from Saskatoon singer-songwriter Zachary Lucky last fall when he delivered the video for The Ballad of Losing You cut "Woke Up," and again just last week when his work was honoured by fellow prairie musicians Belle Plain and Blake Berglund with a cover version of "Town to Town."
Now, Lucky has announced plans to release a new 7-inch single next month and Exclaim! is giving you a chance to hear it before it's out. Titled "Zachary Lucky Sings Dublin Blues And Copper Kettle," the rootsy two-song single officially arrives on September 4 and is available for pre-order here. It features Lucky on vocals and acoustic guitar, with Chris Sleightholm on electric and baritone guitar, while Ian Cameron steps in on the pedal steel. The pair of tunes were recorded at Bottega Studios in Kelowna, BC, back in November with engineer Jamie Prentice.
