Yardlets

"Pop with a Pin" (video)

Montreal psych-punks Yardlets dropped their debut album Good Hangs earlier this week via Hobo Slang/White Whale. Now, they're ready to share a brand new video for "Pop with a Pin" from that very record, and Exclaim! is giving you the first look at it.

The clip follows the recently unveiled animated visuals for "Baby Deer," but switches things up with a live action piece this time around. It opens with a young skateboarding dude punching out of work and wheeling his way over to his buddy's shed.

Inside, flashing lights and live music fuel the party, but outside, our protagonist only narrowly escapes a gang of skater haters. He makes it home safely eventually, celebrating with a swig of victory milk — right out of the carton — before settling in for an evening of online poker.

The band, consisting of Sam Goldberg (Uncut, Broken Social Scene, Hawaii) and Jeff Edwards (Shot While Hunting), will be heading out on the road this week in support of the new record, and you can see those upcoming dates below.
