Wye Oak Spinoff Dungeonesse Detail Debut Album for Secretly Canadian, Unveil New Single

BY Alex HudsonPublished Feb 7, 2013

Back in the fall, Wye Oak spinoff Dungeonesse signed to Secretly Canadian for a single and promised that a full-length would follow in 2013. Sure enough, the duo of Jenn Wasner (Wye Oak, Flock of Dimes) and Jon Ehrens (White Life, the Art Department) have confirmed the details of their self-titled LP, due out May 14.

The band was founded upon the pair's mutual love of Top 40 pop and R&B, and they wrote songs remotely while Wasner on tour and Ehrens was in Los Angeles. According to a press release, the tracks on Dungeonesse showcase "the beautiful imperfections of the human voice."

The collection is said to be a party record filled with danceable bangers and slow jams alike. See the tracklist below. As you can see, it features the previously released single "Drive You Crazy." Check out that song at the bottom of the page along with the newly unveiled "Shucks."
