Wiz Khalifa 'Slammed and Cuffed' at LAX Airport for Riding Hoverboard?

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Aug 23, 2015

In what may be one of the most bizarre arrest stories we've heard in a while, rapper Wiz Khalifa reports that he was put into handcuffs today (August 22) for riding around Los Angeles' LAX airport on a hoverboard.

As explained on Khalifa's Twitter account, the incident apparently took place this afternoon, with the artist having been approached in the airport by a handful of police officers for using his hands-free scooter.

A pair of videos were soon uploaded, with one finding Khalifa telling officers that he wasn't doing anything wrong, and warning them that they'll be showing up on TMZ should they take any action against him.

More disconcerting is a video that shows police officers surrounding a now on-the-ground Khalifa, attempting to put cuffs on the rapper and saying "stop resisting" multiple times. Khalifa appears to be complying, while also noting to the authority figures that he isn't resisting their force.

It looks as if Khalifa was released without any charges being laid, and he took to Twitter shortly thereafter to explain how he found the whole situation absurd. First, because he suspects police will soon start using hoverboards of their own. More importantly, he also notes that "our generation is gonna be riding hover boards so if you don't like it eat a dick!"

You'll find Khalifa's series of tweets down below.
