In addition to being one of the greatest country singers ever, Willie Nelson is known as a bit of a quirk. Soon, the hair-braided, pot-smokin' icon will shed some light on his journey with a new memoir. It's a Long Story: My Life will be out on May 5 through Little, Brown & Company.
This official autobiography was co-written with David Ritz. An announcement describes it like this, "This is the unvarnished, complete story of Willie Nelson's life, told in his distinct voice and leaving no moment or experience unturned, from Texas and Nashville to Hawaii and his legendary bus."
The 81-year-old Nelson has released a number of books over the year. His first book was 1988's Willie: An Autobiography, while his most recent was 2012's Roll Me Up and Smoke Me When I Die: Musings from the Road. This latest book, however, is being billed as his "definitive autobiography." He's certainly got an interesting story to tell; he's been arrested several times for drug possession, suffered a collapse lung, been married four times and had seven children.
