Having released Present Tense earlier this year, UK outfit Wild Beasts have unleashed a couple of previously unheard tracks in a unique format dubbed a "GIF novel."
The "GIF novels" are exactly what the name implies: a story told with GIF images. They were made by artist Mattis Dovier, and they tell two related stories. "Soft Future" shows a human getting introduced to a robot's world, and "Blood Knowledge" shows a robot getting introduced to a human's world. Viewers can switch between stories with the press of a button. These tales of human/robot interaction are soundtracked by Wild Beasts' futuristic synthscapes.
Both songs are instrumental and sound like cinematic soundtracks rather than typical pop-rock songs. Check them out over at Jameson's website. One the GIF novels are complete, the songs can streamed independent of the visuals.
