Toronto noir&B enigma turned mega pop star the Weeknd will release his album Beauty Behind the Madness on August 28 via XO/Republic, and he has now announced plans to bring it to stages across the continent with a North American late-fall tour.
"The Madness Fall Tour" runs for a month and a half through November and December. It begins with a hometown gig in Toronto on November 3. From there, the singer born Abel Tesfaye will play a string of U.S. cities and make Canadian stops in Montreal, Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver.
Clearly the Weeknd is having a massively successful year, since he's headlining arenas all throughout this tour. See the schedule below. Tickets go on sale on August 28, the same day Beauty Behind the Madness arrives in stores.
Hopefully these shows go better than the one depicted in the recent video for "Can't Feel My Face," in which Tesfaye is pelted with objects and then lit on fire. That clip is at the bottom of this page.
