The Weeknd is in Texas for SXSW, and Jimmy Kimmel is also at the festival to film a few special episodes of his talk show. This led the Toronto R&B singer to appear last night (March 19) or Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Backed by a live band, the Weeknd treated the theatre to his Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack contribution "Earned It." The singer is in characteristically impassioned, seductive form, although this theatrical, piano-pounding tune is a lot more dramatic than the slithering songs vocalist Abel Tesfaye used to be known for.
