Weaves

"Shithole"

BY Alex HudsonPublished Oct 14, 2014

Weaves released their debut EP this spring, and the Toronto alt-rockers have since pressed ahead with a remix collection and, now, a new single.

"Shithole" will take listeners back to the golden era of grunge with its low-end chug, barbed guitar grit, and lyrical references to teenage angst and "living in a shithole." And yet, despite the track's gloom and tension, there's a hint of bouncy brightness to the melody.

The single is officially coming out on October 20 on Buzz Records. Scroll past Weaves' tour schedule to hear it.
