Wavelength Music Festival is returning to Toronto this winter to warm up freezing February nights with what's being billed as a "three-night live curated mixtape" with the best in independent Canadian music.
This year's edition of the weekend-long event will feature three nights of performances from February 13 to 15. Things kick off on February 13 at Sneaky Dee's with a show featuring Art Bergmann, as well as sets from the long-absent and now reunited Controller.Controller and Brides. There will also be tributes to classic Toronto songs with sets from Most People (playing Broken Social Scene), Delta Will (playing Caribou), Hervana (playing Constantines), More or Les (doing Toronto hip-hop classics), Lockbox (playing Owen Pallett) and the Skeletones Four (playing Jim Guthrie).
The next night on February 14 will take place at the Polish Combatants Hall. Ginla, Last Ex, Del Bel, Lowell and the much-missed Acorn comprise the bill. Finally, the showcase on February 15 will take over the Garrison and feature sets from Look Vibrant, Bart, Tenderness, New Fries, Fresh Snow and Mozart's Sister. All three nights of shows will be accompanied by visual projections by General Chaos Visuals.

In addition to the festival proper, there will be the Wavelength Pop-Up Gallery, which runs from January 22 to February 15 at HuntClub Studios (709 College St.). It will feature a "Wavelength: Past, Present and Future" art exhibition, as well as shows and a free Wavelength Talk Series on Sunday afternoons.
