Seinfeld-obsessed spitter Wale hasn't quite figured out when he and Jerry will deliver their long-in-the-works Album About Nothing, but it looks as if there will be some seasonally themed (by which we mean Season 9 of the '90s sitcom) gold to be gifted next week. Wale has let us know that his Festivus mixtape, based on Seinfeld character Frank Costanza's upsetting holiday traditions, drops December 23.
A new trailer revealed the plans for the Costanza-celebrating event. The clip has Wale holed up in the studio, taking some time out from his work to ponder why he hasn't dropped any "new shit" in time for the holidays. Once A-Trak comes sauntering into the room late in the clip with an aluminum pole, it all clicks together. Why not deliver some music for the rest of us at Festivus?
Who's to say for sure, but Wale will probably be showing off his "feats of strength" lyrically and could be chewing out MCs as he undertakes the "airing of grievances."
You can catch the trailer down below, while Festivus lands next Tuesday through Complex.
