West Coast rap upstart Vince Staples broke out with his debut album Summertime '06 earlier this year, and he dropped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night (September 1) to give it another push.
He was joined on stage by the Roots, who unsurprisingly laid down an exceptional live beat for Staples to spit over, as well as label mate Jhené Aiko, who delivered some saccharinely sweet vocals before finally getting a chance to show off her grittier side with a verse towards the end of the performance.
Staples' smooth flow and respectably high-waisted mom jeans definitely stole the spotlight, though, and you can watch him do his thing in the player below.
