Vancouver Area Resident Offering $200 for a Band to Annoy Neighbours

Are you a loud, up-and-coming rock trio in the Vancouver area looking for paid work? We may have found a half-decent (if unconventional) gig for you. Specifically, you'll get $200 and a bunch of free beer if you jam out and annoy someone's neighbours.

According to a recent Craigslist post in Vancouver, a 39-year-old is seeking revenge on his or her noisy neighbours in a Surrey townhouse. The plan? Hire a loud band to drown out the noise of their subwoofer for six hours.

"I am a nice neighbour," the ad reads. "The two young kids beside me blast their subwoofer 24/7. I'm 39 and have put my life savings into this townhouse. Legally, they can blast their garbage all day till 10pm. I'm having a nervous breakdown. " The townhouse dweller also describes his or her neighbours as "ignorant east coasters."

If you're willing to play from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m., you'll be compensated with $200, free beer and a cab ride to and from Surrey. To sign up for this noble duty, visit the ad here. And if you do happen to sign up for the revenge plan, please drop us a line.
