An artist who left behind a seemingly infinite batch of unheard recordings, guitar god Jimi Hendrix will follow up his 2010 box set West Coast Seattle Boy and last year's reissues with yet another batch of previously unreleased recordings.

As Rolling Stone reports, 12 previously unheard Hendrix jams will be released to the world on a new album called People, Hell and Angels in the first quarter of 2013.

The record is said to include material that was recorded between 1968 and 1969, when the artist was working on material outside of the Jimi Hendrix Experience.

Rolling Stone reports that the "experimental" direction heard on this release sees Hendrix trying his hand at horns, keyboards, percussion and a second guitar.

People, Hell and Angels will be available on March 5, and the album art is available above.
