Ty Segall and King Tuff Team Up for Split Live Record

BY Alex HudsonPublished Mar 23, 2015

Ty Segall and King Tuff have both made a name for themselves with their rowdy, infectious garage rock, and now they're teaming up for a split record. Live at Pickathon will be released on May 4 through Welk Music Group.

As the title indicates, both sides of the split 12-inch were recorded at Happy Valley, OR's Pickathon Music Festival. It was captured at the 2013 edition of the event, when Segall and King Tuff each performed more than one set.

Segall performed acoustically. Watch a clip from his performance at the bottom of the page, along with a song from Tuff's electrified set.

The record is limited to 1,500 copies. That's the cover artwork above; furthermore, an announcement adds that each side of the split 12-inch "features artist-specific original art."

The release is available to pre-order here.
