We already knew that prolific garage rocker Ty Segall would be resurrecting his T. Rex covers project for a 7-inch called Ty Rex 2 this Record Store Day (April 20). Now, one of that collection's two tracks has emerged online in the form of "The Motivator."
This song originally appeared on T. Rex's revered 1971 album Electric Warrior. Segall reworks the glam boogie of the original as a campfire acoustic number that features a few jagged electric leads.
The 7-inch also features "Cat Black (The Wizard's Hat)" and will arrive through Goner Records.
