Tweedy

"Wait for Love" / "Low Key" (live on 'CBS This Morning')

It's July 4, and CBS This Morning celebrated the Unites States' birthday with a performance from one of the country's most beloved folk-rock songwriters: Wilco's Jeff Tweedy, who appeared with his family band Tweedy.

Joined by his drumming son Spencer and a few backing musicians, Jeff played the folksy Sukierae cuts "Wait for You" and "Low Key." Both were easygoing renditions with a hint of catchy brightness.

There was also an interview segment with the whole Tweedy family, including Jeff's wife Sue and other son Sam. Much of the conversation concerned Jeff's wife Sue and her ongoing battle with cancer, and how that inspired Sukierae.

Watch the segment below.
