Whether filling arenas with the industrial rock band Nine Inch Nails or creating creepy, atmospheric soundtracks, Trent Reznor is well known for his synth work. Now, he has opened up about his love of synths in an interview with Moog.

The 11-and-a-half-minute doc is called "Archetype of a Synthesizer." In it, Reznor talks about his musical origins, in particular his experience with Moog instruments. He discusses how the Moog Prodigy was his first synth, why the Minimoog Voyager is his particular favourite, and how he's used Moog synths in every project he's ever done. It all serves as a very good advertisement for the Voyager.

The whole interview is soundtracked by a creepy electronic composition by the Haxan Cloak, who created it using Moog synths. Check it out below.
