Edmonton indie pop-rocker Travis Bretzer drops his debut LP Waxing Romantic tomorrow (February 24), but as one final pre-release tease, Exclaim! has got the video premiere of "Lonely Heart."
It follows previous single "Lady Red," and maintains the hazy vocals and laidback guitar work, all the while sticking to the album's theme of love. The aptly titled Waxing Romantic is a personal account of the first couple years of Bretzer's current relationship, highlighting particularly fond memories.
As for the new visuals, they're as retro-inspired as Bretzer's sound. Doused in colourful lighting, Bretzer and his band jangle their way through the track, giving off some serious '80s shoegaze vibes.
