With the warm months ahead of us, now is the perfect time to start spending more time outside. Luckily, Toronto's Open Roof Festival is here to accommodate by staging weekly outdoor events for ten consecutive Thursdays between June 21 and August 23 at the Amsterdam Brewery.

The lineup for ORF's third season includes plenty of musical acts and film events. Among the artists who will be performing are Bruce Peninsula, Dusted (featuring Brian Borcherdt of Holy Fuck), Parlovr, Run with the Kittens, Army Girls, Friendlyness and the Human Rights.

The film program is also bound to be of some interest to music fans as well. The festival will kick off on June 21 with Marley, a Kevin MacDonald-directed documentary about Bob Marley. A week after that, on June 28, there will be a documentary about R&B singer Charles Bradley called Charles Bradley Soul of America. On the non-musical front, there will also be screening of Wes Anderson's new flick, Moonrise Kingdom, on August 16.

Here's one additional music-related attraction: among the food and beverages companies that will be selling refreshments at the festival is Toronto's Sky Blue Sky Sandwiches, a Wilco-themed sandwich shop.

Tickets for each night cost $15 and can be purchased here. Go to the Open Roof Festival official website for a full schedule and additional information.
