Tom West

"Easy, Love"

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Feb 12, 2015

Australian singer-songwriter Tom West is set to release a new EP titled Oncoming Clouds this spring, but you can hear "Easy, Love" from the forthcoming release right now on Exclaim.ca.

The new set of songs was recorded with producer John Castle and shares stories about "yearning for something without really knowing what that is."

According to a recent press release, "Easy, Love" in particular "is a song about relationships, about the challenge of holding on to it once the veneer brushes off." It's a folksy, finger-picking-heavy tune that captures the universal sentiment that love might not be easy, after all.

Ongoing Clouds officially arrives on April 28 and will mark the follow-up to West's 2013 full-length debut A Spark in the Dark. The Aussie singer will be making the trek to Toronto for Canadian Music Week, so if you like what you hear, be sure to catch him live during this year's fest. For now, though, listen to the premiere of "Easy, Love" in the player below.
