Titus Andronicus Offshoot Hilly Eye Announce Debut Album

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Nov 8, 2012

Just over a year ago, Amy Klein announced she was giving up her position as New Jersey punks Titus Andronicus's guitarist/violinist to focus on a few of her other projects, including duo Hilly Eye. That group, which also features drummer Catherine Tung, have now announced their debut full-length, Reasons to Live, which will be released January 22 through Don Giovanni Records.

The duo's first full-length follows 2010's Fireworks EP and this summer's "Jacob's Ladder" 7-inch. A tracklisting has yet to be revealed for the LP, but you can catch album track "Amnesia," which pits Klein's lilting vocals against a contrasting wash of guitar noise and occasional chaotic drum patterns, in the YouTube video down below.

As for Klein's former musical compatriots, Titus Andronicus are currently out on the road in support of their recent outing, Local Business, and have dates lined up in Vancouver, Toronto, and Montreal. You can check their schedule here.
