"As Long as We Try a Little" (video)

Swedish-Canadian outfit Thus Owls will release their latest album, Turning Rocks, on April 8 through Secret City Records. Ahead of time, they've shared a video for the LP cut "As Long as We Try a Little."

The song is an ultra-sparse, sombre ballad consisting of little more than vocals and piano chords, although things get fleshed out and noisy towards the end. The video shows similar restraint, as a couple of elderly fellows head out for a walk on a snowy day before having a rather surreal meet-up with the members of Thus Owls.

As the press release explains, the video "tells a more abstract story about two brothers in Montreal, during the winter, and also features Simon and Erika. The narrative unfolds after the brothers receive an envelope with a simple note inside written in Swedish that says 'Det är id,' translated, 'It's time.'

The clip for "As Long as We Try a Little" was directed by Joseph Yarmush. Watch it below.

Thus Owl have some upcoming North American shows coming up, including some in Canada. You can see their schedule here.
