Throbbing Gristle's Chris & Cosey Team Up with Nik Void on New Collaborative LP

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jan 6, 2012

Last fall saw the re-release of a number of Throbbing Gristle LPs, but this spring co-founders Chris Carter and Cosey Fanni Tutti will deliver new material via a collaboration with post-industrial musician Nik Void of Factory Floor. This project will bear the democratic name Carter Tutti Void.

Described in a press release as the work of "two of electronic music's true pioneers and one of its new trail blazers," Transverse is made up of four lengthy tracks the trio performed at the 2011 Short Circuit presents Mute festival. Each song was worked on in a studio setting before they were recorded live at London's Roundhouse theatre. "These recordings were unheard prior to the festival and the popularity of the performance left many being turned away at the door," the press sheet explains.

The collection will be delivered by Mute on CD, LP and digitally on March 26 in the UK. You can check out the tracklisting below.

While clearly a lo-fi clip, you can also catch one of the outfit's soundscapes in the video below as well.
