Them County Bastardz

"The Bastard" (video)

Hailing from Leamington, ON, old-school metal troupe Them County Bastardz recently dropped their debut album, and now they've given Exclaim! the premiere of their latest video "The Bastard."

The track comes from the just-released record Sick Daze, which was inspired by their real life experiences of "country living." The album title itself apparently stems from those Mondays when the weekend fun catches up to you and you just can't make it into work.

As for the new video, it sees the band playing their instruments, surrounded by wall-mounted wildlife. There's also a vintage lime-green sports car that gets the title character around town.

"This video shows our view of what a bastard is in the modern world," says vocalist Andrew Watson. "It was our first attempt at a video, and was a hell of a good time for all involved... Thanks to Kenny Rogers (not that Kenny Rogers) for the use of the Super Bee, which almost ended this video in a speeding ticket. I hope you all enjoy it. Cheers!"

Sick Daze is out now via Smokehouse Records. You can give the video for "The Bastard" a watch below.
