Sur Une Plage Hits East Coast With Tour Dates, Hint at Upcoming LP Plans

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Nov 10, 2014

Vancouver synth-pop duo Sur Une Plage have announced they'll be taking the songs from their online singles series out east for a pair of concert dates later this month.

The band, comprising Black Mountain/Lightning Dust member Joshua Wells and vocalist Colin McKill, unveiled the tour schedule via a campy, comical video. Presented infomercial-style, their "Bulletin #1" not only confirms November appearances in Montreal and Toronto, but acts as a guide as to how to properly pronounce the French language band name. You'll find the clip and the show info down below.

Late in the video, McKill hints that Sur Une Plage "will likely have more news to share with you sometime soon of a different nature." The specifics of this, presumably to be revealed in full for a "Bulletin #2," have yet to be revealed, but Wells confirmed with Exclaim! that an album is in the works.

So far, Sur Une Plage has delivered six songs through their Bandcamp page. Neither an album name nor a tracklisting has been locked down just yet, but Wells explained that the upcoming LP will feature eight songs and be delivered through the act's own Party Product imprint.

Tour dates:

11/20 Montreal, QC - Alexandraplatz *

11/21 Toronto, ON - The Central ^

* with the Letouts
^ with Nordic Nomadic, Body Butter, Human Mane
